We have gathered a passionate team here at Hassler Dressage at Riveredge! Each brings experience and commitment to ensure a positive experience for our clients and the horses in our care. We celebrate a long-standing relationship with Select Breeders Service whose headquarters are located here on the Riveredge campus and greatly benefit from their expertise underlying our stallions’ reproductive services. Our team takes great pride in the facilities, the grounds, and the opportunity to provide first class service to our equestrian and sporthorse communities.

Keri joined Hassler Dressage in May of 2016. Her primary responsibility is to manage all financial accounts for Hassler Dressage and Riveredge. Prior to joining HD, Keri was in the banking and software industry. An advocate for animal rescue, Keri thoroughly enjoys working in an environment surrounded by beautiful horses and adorable dogs. Originally from New York, Keri currently resides in Maryland with her husband Steve and her precious fur-babies.
As the “voice” of Hassler Dressage, Jann fulfills the role of Executive Secretary, a title which stretches to encompass many tasks and duties of which scheduling, show entries and event planning top the list. Jann’s educational background as a graduate from Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL with a BS Degree in Education, prepared her for the role of physical education instructor and athletic coach at the high school level for 8 years. Being a high school teacher and coach proved to be a more than adequate training field for grounding her as a communicator who is highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks to meet deadlines while handling scheduling and customer relations.
On a more personal note, Jann’s two children, Jonathan and Lindsay, also enjoy the animal scene through their work at SBS with horses and Ft. Detrick with monkeys. Jann and her husband of 42 years, Ben are enjoying their empty nest.
Judi is a native of Delaware currently living in Middletown. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 1980 with a degree in Animal Science. Upon graduation, Judi worked for DuPont Pharmaceuticals as a customer service representative. She is married to her loving husband, Rob and has 2 children. Christi, 21, is an Athletic Training Student at the University of Delaware. Andrew, 18, is a student at the Delaware Autism Program.
Judi’s lifelong love of everything horses began at an early age. She graduated from riding ponies bareback to hunt seat lessons at Highland Farms in Arden Delaware. Her love for dressage came when she rode as a working student with KC VanDyk at Wellspring Farm in Wilmington DE. After moving to Middletown in 1993, she spent 7 years working at Winbak Farm in Chesapeake City Maryland. At Winbak, Judi spent countless hours in the foaling barn including delivering foals and managing the broodmares and foals. Each summer and fall were busy times for yearling sales prep. After leaving Winbak Farm, Judi obtained her riding instructor’s certification from the ARICP and spent many years teaching beginners the basics of horsemanship.
Free time is spent volunteering at the Delaware Autism Program, quilting and gardening.
“As a parent of an autistic teenager, I sometimes find it challenging to find work outside of the home. I am very grateful to Scott and Susanne for giving me an opportunity to become a part of their team.”
Every stable needs the backbone of a reliable labor team. We affectionately call ours the X-Team (for Excellente’!) as they are nothing short of Excellent! They pour earnest energy into keeping this training facility immaculately clean (which is no small task), stocked, and ready for each week’s activities, not to mention their fantastic help and support with the horses. Jaime Monroy (aToluca, Estado de Mexico native) lends his capable grooming skills as needed and is part of the X-team’s daily efforts. Carlos Martinez (of Veracruz, Mexico) assists with the AquaPacer and has a quiet, special way with the horses.
